Johnny Depp, who plays Captain Jack Sparrow in The Pirates of the Caribbean films, has been nominated for Favorite Male Movie Star and Best Male Action Star. He shares the third nomination with his Pirates co-star Keira Knightley for Favorite On-screen Couple.
Halle Berry has received two nominations: Favorite Female Movie Star and Favorite Female Action Star.
Jennifer Aniston, formerly of the tv hit Friends , also received a double nomination. She is challenging Berry for Favorite Female Movie Star. Aniston shares a nomination with Vince Vaughn for their film The Break-Up.
Vaughn was also nominated for Favorite Leading Man, competing against Aniston's ex-husband Brad Pitt.
Deal or No Deal goes up against American Idol and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in the favourite competition and reality show category.
The People's Choice Awards, voted for by the American public, will be held in Los Angeles on January 9.JWil
